The Via Francigena del Sud is the ancient road that brought pilgrims from Rome to the Holy City, Jerusalem, setting sail from Otranto or further down from Leuca, Finibus Terrae; it is near this ancient road that Masseria La Millenaria stands, once a monastery of Basilian monks, but also a farmhouse that has still maintained the mystery of past places today, enclosing within its walls all the charm of the history that has passed through it.

The goal then was spiritual, a journey of the soul along winding roads, rural paths that were difficult to travel on foot, with sacrifice and dedication, stopping to find refreshment in those few monasteries, such as La Millenaria, erected along the path of purification.

Retrace today the roads of the ancient pilgrims, visiting ancient villages of Salento such as Acaya and Borgagne, cities such as Otranto, the ancient Idrunto, discovering castles, towers and fortresses along the Via Francigena del Sud in Salento, pausing in the ancient halls of the Masseria La Millenaria, among the breaths of nature, contemplating the starry sky on summer evenings and savoring the enchanting charm of Salento folklore, tasting the ancient traditional cuisine, made with poor ingredients, like those of the past and sweetened by wild spices, discovering the most crystalline sea of Salento, a short distance from our farm, is still a journey of the soul, an intimate journey in search of a new awareness that leads us to rediscover ourselves in a break that goes beyond the time of a holiday.
